Description

Professionally Remanufactured (flashed to New Mode) Audi TT Magneti Marelli Instrument Cluster, Part # 8N1 920 980A. Interchange part numbers: 8N1 920 980AX and 8N1 920 980E/EX.

Instrument cluster has been remanufactured and restored to like new condition and absolutely 100% functional. All internal commonly failing components have been replaced using improved OEM components. Lens may have some very minor imperfections (depending on the available core). However, it is free from scratches, cracks or other imperfections.

New components include:

Latest generation (EU manufactured) center LCD panel (matching original LCD output in brightness/contrast),
OE Tachometer, Speedometer, Temp and Fuel gauge motors
Updated Motorola Microprocessor with updated software
CANbus Microcontroller
Complete PCB reflow/touch up to address common microcracking of solder joints

Instrument cluster has been restored to new identity (new immobilizer system identity / odometer reads 0mi). This allows coding to another vehicle by Factory/Dealer level diagnostic (ODIS online) equipment or other diagnostic equipment such as Ross-Tech VCDS.

***Please be advised that this is an immobilizer equipped instrument cluster. Therefore, immobilizer adaptation / coding will be required by a dealership (or capable repair shop/individual with the correct tools) before the vehicle will be allowed to start. Part is not plug and play by default.*** (DIY coding is possible with Ross-Tech VCDS and Immobilizer PIN (secret code) read tool. We can provide further guidance and assist with install options upon request).
