BOSE Amplifier / Digital Sound Processing (DSP) for Generation2 (MMI2G) Systems, found in Audi A8 (2006-2009), Audi A6 (2006-2009) and Audi Q7 (2007-2009). Amplifier commonly fails due to water damage in Audi A6 (2006-2009) and Q7 models (2007/2009). If your amplifier has suffered water damage, please have the sunroof drains repaired/replaced prior to installing the replacement unit or the unit will suffer the same failure in just few weeks or months.

By default, amplifier will operate in safe/limited mode. Component Protection coding is required by Audi dealership. Each amplifier carries specific identity of vehicle it was intended for. Component Protection (anti-theft mode) mode is activated when replacement/2nd hand amplifier is plugged in to another vehicle without proper coding.
