Repair Service for Active Cruise Control (ACC) and Braking Guard Camera Module, commonly found in 2010 - 2018 Audi A6/A7/A8 and 2010 - 2018 VW Touareg vehicles.
Failure of ACC Camera camera module will typically result in the following fault/DTC within the Image Processing Control Module:
0161 - Video Cable for Image Processing C1107 02 - Signal Failure
Upon arrival, each module is bench tested by Live Simulation on specially designed Test Bed. Repair process involves FPGA BGA IC removal, reball and reinstall using high tech IR BGA rework station.
ACC Camera Module typically retains all coding and calibration settings. If the module is reinstalled in the original vehicle, Component Protection coding and/or calibrations are typically not required, as there are no changes made to coding or calibration during the rework. However, in some rare instances ADAS type re recalibration may be needed.
2 Year Warranty.
3-5 day Service Turnaround time.
In some rare cases ACC Camera Module may not be reparable by standard reball / reflow procedure, which would indicate an actual FPGA IC failure. This is mainly caused previous DYI repair attempts with heat gun or hot air, which has tendency to overheat and damage the FPGA IC.
Please contact us if there had been previous repair attempts, as this may have resulted in FPGA IC Chip being overheated / damaged and require FPGA IC replacement at an additional cost.
